Weir Pumps Glasgow was incorporated into Clyde Pumps Ltd in May 2007. A further advance was made in November 2008 when Union Pumps was purchased from Textron Inc. All the people, products and facilities of Union Pumps are combined with those of Clyde Pumps into a new global pumping solutions leader, CLYDEUNION.

Union Pumps specialise in the design and manufacture of pumps, packages, pump repairs, and services for the nuclear, oil & gas, petrochemical and desalination industries and employs over 750 people across 12 countries. Headquartered from Battle Creek, Michigan they have been manufacturing superior centrifugal as well as reciprocating pumps since 1885.

All of this heritage and expertise adds to that already held by Clyde Pumps who offer advanced pumps for power, oil & gas, water and general industrial applications from their plant in Glasgow, Scotland, as well as through their joint venture partners in India and China.

These two companies coming together will provide our customers with a comprehensive portfolio of products and global coverage that will offer superior pump solutions and aftermarket services.
